So, he formed his own law firm based on the principals of compromise and negotiation.

After working in patent and copyright law for a large law firm, Mr. Slater formed his own law firm based on the principals of compromise and negotiation. He realized that clients rarely left litigation happy and usually spent double and sometimes even triple the amount of money they would have if they settled the case through negotiation.
