Katherine Haskins Becker

Katherine Haskins Becker focuses on all areas of family law. Ms. Becker counsels clients on the various aspects of dissolution of marriage and paternity matters, including child custody, child support, visitation, spousal support, property, asset, debt, and retirement plan division, as well as other financial issues related to divorce. She is admitted to the Bar in Illinois and has argued cases in Cook, DuPage, Kane, Kendall and Will counties.

Prior to forming Haskins Becker, P.C., Ms. Becker gained valuable experience in family law as an associate attorney at Levin & Conde, a family law firm in Chicago, and as a Judicial Extern for the Honorable Judge Mark J. Lopez, Domestic Relations Division, Circuit Court of Cook County.

Kathryn S. Guensburg

Kathryn S. Guensburg is a licensed attorney in Illinois, and she is dedicated to advocating for individuals and families in all areas of family law for both the circuit and appellate level. She received her law degree from Northern Illinois University College of Law in 2014 and her Bachelors in Classical Civilizations from the University of Illinois – Urbana/Champaign in 2011.

Throughout law school, Kathryn dedicated much of her time to participating in appellate advocacy programs, such as the NIU Moot Court Society, where she served as the Chief Justice during her third year. In addition, Kathryn competed in both local and national moot court competitions where she won best oral advocate and best respondent’s brief in both. Upon graduation she was awarded the Outstanding Contribution to Appellate Advocacy Award for her accomplishments and contribution to appellate advocacy while at Northern.

During Kathryn’s first year of practice she has assisted in handling complex and diverse cases involving all areas of family law, including custody, divorce, support, and international abduction. She recently won her first appeal in the First District Appellate Court of Illinois and is currently involved in others pending before the same court.

Through these experiences, Kathryn has gained a deeper passion and understanding for the practice of family law. Kathryn is dedicated to addressing the unique legal needs of each client and assisting them through this oftentimes difficult stage of their lives.
