Our Past
The predecessor to present day Milton, Laurence & Dixon, LLP, Milton and Parker, was founded in 1894 by Charles Milton and Robert Parker. As years passed, Charles Milton was succeeded by his sons, Stanley and Robert Milton. In the 1960’s the firm changed its name to include Partner Gerard Laurence. In 1984, the firm recognized partner Charles (Chuck) Dixon, adding his name to the masthead. Attorney Dixon retired from the firm in 2004. Located in downtown Worcester, Massachusetts, for over 120 years, the Firm has been within walking distance of the Courthouse.
Our Present
While the legal landscape has changed over the last century, the importance of value, service and honesty have not. The Firm remains committed to providing excellent service and counsel in the best tradition of the law. We are a full service firm, providing advice and litigation services in all areas of civil litigation and worker’s compensation as well as facilitating management of life’s milestones.
In 2009, the Firm was one of 4 recognized by the Massachusetts Bar Association for exemplary leadership in greening the practice of law. Additionally, we have participated in the Attorney General’s Legal Food Frenzy, raising donations for the Worcester County Food Bank. We continue to donate time as pro bono counsel for the Volunteer Lawyers Service and the Federal Court pro bono program.
