Richard Mulhearn has more than 25 years of experience as a trial lawyer. His passion for justice and his professional manner have earned him the respect and admiration of clients, peers, adversaries, and judges. He began as an Assistant Prosecutor (Assistant District Attorney) in New Jersey. Since relocating to Massachusetts in the 1980’s, he has been actively engaged in trial practice, mastering the law in a number of legal areas.
His focus has been representing individuals against large and powerful entities. Mr. Mulhearn brings that passion and skill to the defense of persons accused by the Commonwealth of drunk driving or OUI. Drunk driving defense is a highly technical and frequently changing area of law. Mr. Mulhearn studies with the top experts and practitioners in the country to stay on the cutting edge and to be able to provide the best defense and advice to his clients. He is passionate about protecting people from the increasingly harsh and disproportionate penalties of the drunk driving laws, including long periods of license loss. He believes that being charged with OUI can happen to just about anyone and that it often comes from being in the wrong place at the wrong time.
