Our Commercial team offers a wide range of “Services For Business” and operate from offices close to the M60 motorway network, bringing city centre service to the area. Our Company Commercial, Employment Law, Commercial Property and Commercial Litigation teams have a business like approach and can deal with all your legal needs.

We have a specialist medical negligence team who are highly regarded in this complex area of law and deal with a wide range of mistakes made by healthcare professionals. We also have a busy Personal Injury team and a Continuing Care specialist pursuing legal rights for elderly clients.

Whilst our “Services For You” offer a Private Client team with will making, tax planning, inheritance and other services for older people, Financial Advice and Wealth Management, a Family Law and Child Care team, a dedicated Conveyancing solicitor and a Civil Litigation team.

A little bit of history…
We can trace our roots back to 1874 when Charles Clegg founded the original practice. He was succeeded by Arthur Slater and Sam Pearson and to this day the name Pearson is integral to the practice. The firm merged in 1999 to form Pearson Hinchliffe and in 2013 following the granting of ABS status became Pearson Solicitors and Financial Advisers.

Alternative Business Status (ABS) creates the opportunity for extended professional services, non-legal partners and alternative investment and will allow us to grow and evolve in the changing legal landscape.

The Practice has three offices. Our Oldham base is offers our ‘Services to You’. We are based in Albion House, 31 Queen Street, Oldham. Dating back to 1878 Albion House started life as a ‘Gentlemen’s Club’ and since then has been used as offices, a restaurant and night-club. We have tried to sympathetically restore the remaining bits of its Georgian heritage, whilst at the same time provide an up-to-date modern practice. Our ‘Services For Business’ and the Commercial team are based in a modern mill redevelopment in Hollinwood, close to the M60 network, providing easy access and free parking for all clients. We have a new Ashton town centre office opened in 2011 which is mainly medical negligence, but clients can access all services from here as well.

We are proud of our heritage and traditions and look forward to the future and further development with over a decade of Lexcel accreditation, (the Law Society industry standard), as well as Investors in People recognition leading us forward.
