The firm took a lead in post WTO business regime and acted for the Government of Pakistan to negotiate most favorable WTO laws and business strategies. Our lawyers wrote many national IP laws and rules including the Trade Marks Ordinance 2000, the Patent Ordinance 2000, the Patent Rules, the Design Rules and the Integrated Circuit Rules. The firm lobbied for changes in the Copyright laws of Pakistan in order to protect right holders’ interests in business software and motion picture areas. The firm has tabled draft of national GI law for Pakistan.
