Monika Vyas Scott
Monika Vyas Scott, Esq., is the founder of The Scott Law Firm, LLC. She has successfully represented individuals and businesses in a wide variety of legal areas, including contract law, business law, tort law, internet law, technology law, real estate law, intellectual property law and employment law. She has significant experience in all phases of the litigation process, from early claims analysis and dispute resolution through summary judgment, trial and appeal.
Before forming The Scott Law Firm, Monika worked as an associate in a large domestically-based international law firm and a large regional law firm. She has practiced in magistrate court, state court, federal district court, and state and federal appellate courts. Monika has achieved successful results for her clients through her diligence and aggressive style. Monika began The Scott Law Firm in order to combine her passions for law and entrepreneurship and with one goal in mind – to provide superior client service.
Honors & Accomplishments
Monika Vyas Scott, Esq. obtained her law degree, with honors, from Georgia State University College of Law in 2007. While in law school, she participated in the school’s selective Litigation Honors program and Moot Court program and was the recipient of several awards, including the Dean’s Award for Best Overall Advocate. In 2012, she was selected to serve as a Barrister in the Bleckley Inn of Court. In law school, Monika also interned at the office of the Chief Justice of the Georgia Supreme Court. Monika served as President of the Asian American Law Students Association and as a member of the Moot Court Board. Monika worked throughout law school at the U.S. Department of Labor as a Benefits Advisor, where she advised employers and employees about pension and welfare benefits laws arising under ERISA, COBRA and HIPAA. Monika graduated in 2002 from Emory University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science.
