Overview:

I am Daniel A. Kalish, a personal injury and wrongful death lawyer representing clients throughout the New York City metro area. I am passionate about the practice of law, and I am dedicated to giving accident victims and their families the legal counsel and representation they deserve. The following are some of the major commitments I make to every client I represent:

* I keep my clients informed: Some lawyers keep their clients in the dark. Some may not even bother to respond to phone calls. I make sure my clients understand how the law applies to their cases and what is going on at every stage of their claims.
* I let my clients make the decisions: Some lawyers pressure their clients into accepting inadequate settlement offers. I give my clients sound advice based on my experience, but ultimately, they decide whether to settle or whether to go to trial.
* I put my clients’ interests first: Some lawyers decide how much effort they are willing to put into a case based on the impact on their legal fees. Once I accept a case, I am prepared to take whatever steps are necessary to pursue my client’s goals.
* I treat all of my clients equally: If you have what some lawyers consider a “small” claim, they may not give you the time of day, or they may accept your case and then hand it off to an inexperienced associate. I take all types of cases, large and small.

If you are unhappy with your current lawyer, you have a right to change attorneys. I regularly handle cases for clients who are unsatisfied with the representation they have gotten elsewhere; in these cases, I am able to substitute in at no additional fee.
