For his first five years as a licensed attorney, Mr. Langer spent significant time helping foreign nationals subject to the Cuban Review Plan. He appeared before Cuban Review Panels dozens of times. He also assisted a foreign national with the filing of a habeas corpus complaint in federal court challenging the legality of the alien’s indefinite detention. Just prior to Mr. Langer arguing the case before the United States Court of Appeals for the Tenth Circuit, the United States Attorney General agreed to release the foreign national from detention giving Mr. Langer his first victory in a habeas corpus case. Since that time, Mr. Langer has obtained the release of three other foreign nationals through the habeas corpus litigation and dozens of others through the threat of litigation.

Mr. Langer became defense counsel for a number of large corporations in 1997. From 1998 to 2007, Mr. Langer represented individuals in their claims against insurance carriers and corporations. During this time, Mr. Langer appeared as lead counsel in several jury trials and innumerable bench trials in state and federal court. In 2006, Mr. Langer joined a firm which practiced in the area of immigration law. Mr. Langer saw a need in the Oklahoma City legal community for an immigration attorney with substantial trial experience as well as trial and appellate experience in federal court.

Mr. Langer opened his own firm in 2007. He currently focuses his practice on immigration.

Mr. Langer is a past president of the McClain County Bar Association. He is an Eagle Scout and a member of the Phi Beta Kappa Honor Society. He was nominated to be an Associate District Judge in 2003 by the Oklahoma Judicial Nominating Commission. He is currently a member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association, the Federal Bar Association, the Oklahoma County Bar Association and the Oklahoma Bar Association. He is admitted to practice before all state and federal courts in Oklahoma as well as the United States Court of Appeals for the Tenth Circuit and the United States Supreme Court.
