Kirk Nystrom has practiced law for over 35 years.
He primarily assists clients with Wills, Powers of Attorney, Living Wills, Trusts, Probate, Estate Planning, Real Estate and small business law. He received both his B.B.A. and his Juris Doctor from Washburn University in Topeka, Kansas. While in business school, he received the distinction of being a School of Business Scholar and belonged to the Sagamore Honor Society. He received his advanced law degree, an L.LM. in Taxation, from the University of Missouri at Kansas City (UMKC).
He has taught Real Estate Fundamentals at Washburn University. While in law school, he was also a licensed real estate broker. As a lecturer, Kirk regularly presents seminars to lawyers, churches, civic groups and other professional organizations on estate planning, probate, real estate and trusts. Kirk belongs to various organizations, including: the Kansas Bar Association (Probate and Real Estate Sections), the Topeka Bar Association, the Topeka Probate Bar and Christian Legal Society.
He has served as an officer in various community organizations, including: Shawnee County Community Action, his Church board, Boy Scouts of America, Cair-Paravel Latin School Board, and Christian Neighbor Center (an outreach to the disadvantaged). Kirk is president of the Topeka Full Gospel Businessmen Fellowship. Karin, his wife of 36 years, is his legal secretary. Robert Stockton, a fellow attorney, assists in the office.
Kirk Nystrom’s Personal Biography Kirk tries to make Christ the center of his legal practice. In Alaska, he spent three years as a self-supported missionary, where he helped build a Christian school.
Kirk and his family are involved with Lay Witness Missions, where lay people share their faith stories in traditional churches for renewal and encouragement. Kirk and his wife, Karin, have two grown children. Matthew, 35, is Video Director and Service Producer at Pure Heart Church in Phoenix, Arizona. His wife, Biviana, is a Spanish Translator/Interpreter for the Mayo Clinic. Anna, 32, teaches English (and Spanish) to business and lay people, as well as being a Translator/Interpreter in Saltillo, Mexico. Her husband, Daniel, is Assistant Director of a Christian Youth Camp. They have two young sons.
