The labor lawyers at Nassiri Law represent employees whose rights have been violated by their employers in the workplace. Our labor and employment attorneys focus their practice on representing employees who have been wrongfully terminated, many times based on discrimination, including age discrimination, disability discrimination, discrimination based on race, gender or sexual orientation.

Mr. Nassiri has helped several collectives set up shop and run their dispensary in compliance with the Compassionate Use Act (Proposition 215), the Medical Marijuana Program Act (“MMPA” also known as SB420), the Attorney General’s Guidelines, as well as the California case law interpreting these statutes. He is a tireless champion for the patients’ fight to have safe access to medical marijuana.

Mr. Nassiri has represented medical marijuana collectives in civil litigation, including clients involved in the landmark medical marijuana case against the City of Lake Forest, in which the Court of Appeal ruled that cities and counties cannot ban collectives.

Mr. Nassiri has represented other medical marijuana dispensaries in lawsuits against other cities in Southern California, including lawsuits against the cities of Los Angeles, Whittier, Santa Fe Springs, Westminster and Hesperia. Mr. Nassiri has also had success stopping evictions filed by landlords against medical marijuana collective tenants.
