Lutz, Shafranski, Gorman & Mahoney, P.A. is a personal injury firm located in New Brunswick, New Jersey and represents plaintiffs in cases of car and motorcycle accidents, bus and truck accidents, catastrophic injuries, dog bites, product and premises liability, workers’ compensation, wrongful death, and other accident and injury claims.

Most individuals go about their business each day and never expect to experience a personal injury event that leaves them with serious and lasting effects. However, the truth is that everyday accidents can cause physical and emotional damage from which it can be difficult to recover. If another party’s negligence has caused you to suffer harm in a vehicle accident, a slip/trip and fall, or in one of many other possible ways, a New Brunswick personal injury lawyer can help fight for the compensation you need to get your life back on track.

The Firm was founded in 1979 by Francis J. Lutz, Esquire. James A. Shafranski joined the firm in 1981, then John R. Gorman and John L. Mahoney joined the firm in 1985. We became Lutz, Shafranski, Gorman and Mahoney, P.A. in 1990. During all these years, we have developed a reputation for vigorously and effectively representing the interests of our clients. Mr. Lutz retired in 1998. After 23 years of service to the firm and its clients, Mr. Shafranski passed away in 2004. After 23 years of service to the firm and its clients, Mr. Mahoney passed away in 2009.

The legacy of excellence of those gentlemen lives on at the firm. We will do what is necessary to protect your rights and maximize your recovery. Every case is prepared for trial, not a settlement. A settlement is recommended only if it is the client’s best interests, under all of the circumstances. Many personal injury law firms hope to settle your case and are unwilling to go to trial or obtain full justice for their clients.

While there are certainly personal injury events that result in only mild or temporary afflictions, far too often, accidents can also cause horrific damage. Some of the more profound injuries that regularly stem from personal injury accidents include traumatic brain injuries, spinal cord damage, broken bones, disfigurement, and even death.

The law in New Jersey affords those impacted by another party’s negligence the right to seek full and fair compensation, including payment for a host of losses. The types of financial recovery potentially obtainable through a personal injury claim encompass compensation for medical bills, rehabilitation costs, lost earnings, home accessibility modifications, physical pain, emotional strain, and more.
