TRADITION: Serving Injured Workers For Three Generations
At Krasno, Krasno & Onwudinjo, we exemplify tradition and push boundaries at the same time. We are the only workers’ compensation law firm in Pennsylvania with three generations of workers’ compensation attorneys who have dedicated their professional practice to protecting the rights of injured workers and disabled adults and children.
Our Story
Our law firm, currently known as Krasno, Krasno & Onwudinjo, was founded in 1936 by the Honorable Isadore Krasno. Isadore was not only a trial lawyer, but also a workers’ compensation referee and judge for nearly 45 years. His goal was to protect the rights of injured workers and pass these ideals to his son and law partner, Lester Krasno. Isadore’s path was to serve as a workers’ compensation judge, and he devoted his life to the injured worker.
As a trial lawyer, Lester handled criminal, domestic and civil trials. However, Lester realized that his calling, like his father, resided in protecting the injured worker. For three decades, Lester has continued to aggressively represent his clients, taking on insurance carriers and employers who try to strip the injured and disabled of their rights under the Workers’ Compensation Act. Lester has handled tens of thousands of workers’ compensation cases and won tens of millions of dollars in awards for his clients.
Carrying Tradition Forward, Growing As Pennsylvania Work Injury Attorneys
The apple does not fall far from the tree. In 1999, Lester’s son Jason Krasno joined the law firm. After an initial exposure to civil and criminal trials, Jason engaged exclusively in workers’ compensation litigation. He saw firsthand the benefits that his grandfather, father and other firm members achieved in protecting injured workers from major corporations and insurance carriers.
Jason runs our Philadelphia office and has expanded the firm from 8 to 14 attorneys. He has been instrumental in opening additional offices throughout Pennsylvania. Jason’s goal is to carry on our established tradition of maximizing the fair treatment of our clients during the workers’ compensation and Social Security Disability (SSDI and SSI) processes. Jason tenaciously represents thousands of injured workers against a wide array of employers and their insurance carriers.
Andrew Onwudinjo has been with Krasno, Krasno & Onwudinjo for more than 20 years. A native of Nigeria, Andrew knew that he would have to work hard and overcome many obstacles faced by immigrants to the United States. Andrew not only overcame these obstacles, he conquered them. As a partner in our firm, Andrew has demonstrated this same work ethic in the courtroom and in the office. He has represented thousands of injured workers and become an integral part of the firm’s appellate practice. Andrew’s knowledge of the law and ability to translate it to the other members of the firm has made him a key member of the firm.
Lester, Andrew and Jason could not handle the high volume of cases the firm produces each year without the hard work and dedication of our 17 attorneys and support staff. It is a combined effort that will continue to define our firm’s sense of tradition for generations to come.
