Attorney Tom Kenney

After working at a larger firm at which he was offered a partnership after approximately 5 years as an associate, Tom chose to start his own firm, Kenney & Solomon, P.C. In addition to representing and counseling small business owners, banks, finance companies and lending institutions, Tom wanted to expand his practice representing individuals in cases. Tom is achieving that goal in his new Firm, having handled hundreds of jury trials, arbitrations, mediations and bench trials, as well as appeals in both state and federal court. His experience includes achieving significant appellate court victories for clients, and obtaining by settlement or verdict significant recoveries for individual clients in a wide variety of cases including but not limited to contract, fraud, car wrecks, tractor trailer wrecks, nursing home/malpractice cases and premises liability claims.

For many years, Tom served on the Gwinnett County Recreation Authority which oversees the entire Gwinnett County Parks and Recreation, including a term as vice chair of the Authority. In this capacity, Tom participated on several individual park master plan steering committees, the master plan steering committee for the entire park system and helped develop Gwinnett’s first open space/greenway master plan. During this time, Gwinnett County added thousands of acres to its park system and defeated an effort to sell for development the only county operated golf course in Gwinnett. Tom also presently serves as the Secretary for the Gwinnett County Swim League, Inc., which operates a youth summer swim league with approximately 50 teams and approximately 6,300 participating children and as President of the Gwinnett County High School Swim Dive Booster Club. He also previously chaired his neighborhood’s swim team and enjoys acting as head coach for his son’s baseball team. Tom, his wife and family live in Suwanee where he and his family are members of a local United Methodist Church.
