Reddlaw: A History of Collections

Founded in 1980, attorney Joe Perry Redd started Reddlaw as a collections law firm and a collections law firm we remain today.

We have a history of straightening out situations that go wrong. For instance, Joe Perry Redd served with the Army Military Police as an investigator with the Deserter Apprehension Section, running down people who were attempting to skip out on their military service. As a lawyer, he help clients whose debtor is trying to skip out, and he has a full arsenal of legal tools to help him in his pursuit.

We have earned a reputation for a rather uncompromising attitude when collecting debts and enforcing judgments on behalf of clients.

History tells us that probably the first professional debt collector was Roman General Publius Flavius Vegetius Renatus, who was fond of saying “Si vis pacem, para bellum” meaning, if you want peace, prepare for war.

“I view dealing with people who will not pay their just debts as a war I am intent on winning.” — Attorney Joe Redd Perry
