FRKelly is a leading specialist in intellectual property law.

History of The Kelley Law Firm, P.L.

Rohan Kelley, this firm’s founding member, was admitted to The Florida Bar in 1965 and practiced with his father, William J. Kelley, in a firm headed by the senior Mr. Kelley until Mr. Kelley’s death. In 1980, Rohan Kelley founded this law firm at its present location at 3365 Galt Ocean Drive, Fort Lauderdale, Florida. At that time, nearly 30 years ago, Rohan decided to limit the firm’s practice only to the areas of wills, trusts and estates, including litigation involving wills, trusts and estates. Since then, that specialized practice has been the hallmark of this firm.

The firm was initially called Rohan Kelley, P.A. It has existed under various names during the last 30 years, including, at one time, Kelley, Kelley, Kelley & Kelley, P.A., when Rohan Kelley, together with two of his sons and a daughter-in-law, were practicing with this firm.

At the present time, the firm consists of 3 lawyers, Rohan Kelley, his son Shane Kelley, and Thomas K. Topor. You can see a resume for each of our lawyers by clicking the preceding links. You can also see a list of our lawyer’s qualifications by clicking this link.

Shane Kelley joined his father, Rohan, in the practice of law in 1996 upon his admission to The Florida Bar. After 2 years of practice, Shane’s twin brother, Sean, finished his advanced studies (LL.M) in taxation at the University of Florida tax master’s program, and came to work for the firm. At that time, Shane took a leave of absence for a year to complete his master’s degree (LL.M) in taxation at the University of Florida. Shane does estate planning and will and trust administration as well as estate and trust litigation.

Rohan’s daughter, Tae Kelley Bronner is also a lawyer and has her own firm in Tampa, Tae Kelley Bronner, P.L. She handles wills, trusts and estates, and estate and trust litigation.

Sean and his wife, Amy, also lawyers, (and Amy’s brother, Seth Corneal) now practice with the firm of Kelley & Corneal, PL. in St. Augustine. That firm has a wills, trust and estates practice and also handles commercial litigation and real estate transactions.

With 11 grandchildren in the Kelley family, it is certain that there is at least one and probably more that will join the firm in future years to carry on the family tradition.

In 2003, Thomas K. Topor, who also has a master’s degree (LL.M) in estate planning from the University of Miami Law School, joined the firm to practice exclusively in the area of complex probate and trust litigation.

This firm limits its practice to providing legal services for complex and major case involving will and trust litigation, wills, trusts and estate planning, business and entity planning and asset protection.

The mission of this firm is to provide the finest legal representation in its limited areas of practice. The firm is dedicated to excellence.
