Equitas Capital Advisors, LLC was established to be a unique company which blends the resources of a large global corporation with the flexibility of a small firm. The purpose of Equitas is to design, build, and deliver financial solutions for our investors. Equitas is in its tenth year of business.
History
Although established in September of 2002, the genesis of Equitas Capital Advisors dates back to 1982 when David Thomas, the firm’s principal began providing investment management consulting services to his clients. Headquartered in downtown New Orleans, Equitas Capital Advisors has 200 years of combined investment consulting experience serving clients ranging from corporations, endowments, foundations, corporate retirement plans, family offices and high net worth individuals.
Investment management consulting is what we do. We do not have the distraction or conflicts of insurance products, retail brokerage, commercial lending, or equity research. We are consultants with the job of Engineering Financial Solutions(SM) for our investor’s needs.
While Equitas provides a full range of consulting services to our clients, we also pro-actively provide our clients with information and analysis on current trends in investing on an ongoing basis. For instance, David Thomas began introducing his clients to professional money management (1982), REITs (1989), hedge funds (1994), structured notes (1998), Treasury Inflation Protected Securities TIPS (2002), Commodities (2005), Bank Debt (2010), Master Limited Partnerships (2011), and Active Asset Allocation (2012).
