Overview:
James Eastwood has been practising in Brockville since 1991. After an enjoyable and professionally enriching partnership with Michael Johnston and John Simpson at Stewart Corbett Law Offices, James transitioned to his own practice at Eastwood Law Offices effective September, 2013.
James practices in the areas of family law, employment law, and estate planning.
James was raised in Ottawa, graduating from Lisgar Collegiate Institute. He earned a Bachelor of Arts with distinction at Carleton University. He graduated from the University of Toronto Law School in 1989.
James enjoyed a number of interesting legal work opportunities during his legal studies, including positions with the Judge Advocate General’s Office, the Crown Law, Civil Office in Toronto, and as a legal analyst with Labour Canada. James articled at Nelligan Power (now Nelligan O’Brien Payne) in Ottawa.
He accepted the opportunity with Stewart Corbett in 1991, and built a successful private practice, which has now transitioned to Eastwood Law Offices. James lives in Brockville with his wife, Jennifer, and their three children, Graeme, Evan and Claire.
James has been involved in sports throughout his life, and is still actively involved in hockey, golf, and running – although admittedly with more effort than in days gone by, and with an increasing need to embellish past accomplishments.
