Overview:
Davis Wright Tremaine was the first U.S. firm with legal authority to maintain a law office in Shanghai. Formally opened on Jan. 1, 1994, the office has steadily grown to a full complement of attorneys advising clients in a broad range of industries on the legal implications of doing business in China. Most of the lawyers in our Shanghai office were born and raised in China and speak English and one or more Chinese dialects. Many have also received their legal education in the United States or Europe and are admitted to practice law in the United States.
