With the introduction of Companies Act, 2013 which replaces nearly six decade old and backbone of Indian Corporate Law (The Companies Act, 1956), the Government of India aims to bring more transparent compliance & and governance in the corporate bodies besides creating the necessary environment for growth in the present global structure. As a result there are many new concepts and provisions are introduced with stricter penalties. The Act also put greater responsibilities on Directors and Professionals like Company Secretaries, Chartered Accountant etc. in order to have better Corporate Governance System.
