Curtis opened its Beijing office in early 2014 to provide legal services to clients operating or located in China and East Asia. The Beijing office coordinates closely with the firm’s other offices in the United States, the European Union, Latin America, the Middle East and Central Asia in advising and representing private companies, multinational corporations, financial institutions, and sovereign entities on a broad range of international legal matters.

Curtis’ globally recognized experience in investor-state arbitration; international commercial arbitration; cross border mergers and acquisitions; joint ventures; international funds; complex commercial contracts; infrastructure and public projects; energy, particularly oil and gas; international trade; and public international law provide a strong foundation for the firm’s expansion into China.

Curtis’ International Trade lawyers have been representing Chinese interests on trade matters for over a decade. The firm is consistently ranked among the global leaders in international trade, including by Chambers Asia-Pacific, Legal 500 and Law360. Similarly, Curtis’ International Arbitration practice has been ranked at the highest levels by Global Arbitration Review and The American Lawyer, in addition to Chambers and Legal 500.

The Beijing office expands the firm globally into one of the most important areas of the world. For instance, Curtis lawyers in Beijing are able to counsel Chinese and East Asian clients with interests in Latin America on cross-border transactions involving the two regions and the laws of individual countries such as Mexico.

The Beijing office is a part of the Curtis, Mallet-Prevost, Colt & Mosle LLP (New York) legal entity. To achieve a consistently high level of service and the full benefit of our firm’s resources and global reach, Curtis utilizes an integrated team approach across offices and practice groups, staffing many of our matters with a combination of lawyers from Beijing and our other offices. The lawyers in the Beijing office have practiced in the firm’s New York, Washington and Mexico City offices.

Curtis is located in Beijing in the China Life Tower in the Chaoyang District.
