Bohanon was born in Oklahoma City in 1966 and graduated from the University of Kansas with degrees in History & Journalism in 1988. Mr. Bohanon then went to the University of Oklahoma School of Law where he received his Law Degree in 1991. He has been a practicing lawyer in Oklahoma City since 1991, first at a Civil Litigation Firm and then an Insurance Defense Firm. Mr. Bohanon has been working as a sole practitioner with Philip L. Bohanon, P.C. since July of 1996.
Mr. Bohanon is a hard working and competent 3rd Generation Oklahoma City Attorney with a vast amount of experience handling insurance disputes, personal injury claims, automobile negligence claims, tort claims, workers’ compensation claims, real estate disputes, collection matters, family law matters, probates, commercial litigation, general civil litigation, contract disputes, and drafting/preparation of contracts. Additionally, he has handled numerous misdemeanor and felony criminal cases.
Mr. Bohanon is a member of the Oklahoma Bar Association, Oklahoma County Bar Association, Commercial Real Estate Council of Oklahoma City, and he is a past Barrister of the Luther Bohanon American Inn of Court. His father and grandfather were both Federal Judges in Oklahoma City. He is licensed to practice in all Oklahoma State Courts, the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Oklahoma, the 10th Circuit Court of Appeals and the U.S. Supreme Court.
