The firm was founded in 1972 under the name Hassan Awada Law Firm by Hassan Awada. He was joined five years later by Adolphe Tyan, and the firm was renamed Awada Tyan Law Firm.
Over the years, the firm has represented a broad spectrum of high-profile clients, including banks, financial institutions, telecommunications and media outlets, such as televisions and newspapers, petroleum companies, non-profit organizations, commercial companies, and international and local agencies. The firm also has an outstanding litigation practice, representing clients before all courts and tribunals and before the Council of State.
