Tynika Claxton is the managing member of The Claxton Law Firm, LLC. The Claxton Law Firm, based in Columbia, South Carolina specializes in personal injury, criminal defense and family law. Mrs. Claxton previously served as an Associate Attorney at a Civil Defense Firm in Columbia, South Carolina, where she defended large insurance companies in personal injury cases. Originally, from Greenville, South Carolina, Mrs. Claxton received her B.A. from the University of South Carolina in Columbia, South Carolina and her law degree from Western Michigan University (Thomas M. Cooley Law School). Mrs. Claxton began her career as an Assistant Solicitor at the Solicitors Office in Greenville, South Carolina, where she handled the prosecution of misdemeanor and felony criminal matters. During her time in law school, Tynika had the honor of working with The Honorable William W. Wilkins, the Chief Justice for the Fourth Circuit Court of Appeals, as an extern.
Mrs. Claxton uses the knowledge that she gained representing the insurance companies and prosecuting criminals to help individuals through life’s challenges.
