Dakessian Law is a legal firm specializing in California tax controversy and litigation. The firm’s founder, two-time Law 360 MVP Mardiros H. “Marty” Dakessian, is on a short list of the most well known and successful attorneys in California taxation—with a demonstrated ability to win at all administrative levels and in court.
In 2015, Dakessian ended a successful run as equity partner at a Global 20 law firm to establish his own practice with one goal in mind: to channel his passion for vindicating taxpayer rights—a passion first discovered while working for two different members of the California State Board of Equalization—into building the premier California tax controversy practice.
We measure our progress by achieving the best results possible for our clients in their tax disputes, by working with our taxing authorities to leverage our client successes into positive policy changes and, in the process, shaping California’s business climate for the better. A better environment for taxpayers then forms the basis for more client successes, continuing a virtuous circle of positive change.
