At least one of us believes that the best franchise in professional football was the Washington Redskins when they were owned by the Cooke family. Joe Gibbs coached the team to numerous victories at RFK stadium and, as a young boy, the true believer had the privilege of seeing his childhood heroes return to Carlisle each summer for training camp at Dickinson College.
