Overview:
Guthrie Law Office is owned and operated by Attorney, Jane Rosalie Guthrie. Rosalie began practicing law in 2006 after graduating from the University of Louisville, Brandeis School of Law. Prior to becoming an attorney, Rosalie graduated cum laude from the University of Kentucky where she earned a Bachelor’s Degree in English Literature.

Throughout her career Rosalie has worked and lived in her native Henry County, just northeast of Louisville, Kentucky. She opened Guthrie Law Office in January of 2012 in Shelbyville, the hometown of her grandparents, Loula and James Guthrie. Rosalie is committed to serving the community that she grew up in and firmly believes in ensuring all her clients are provided with the highest quality of legal representation. She understands that local economy is strongest when business owners are personally invested in the clients they serve. As her client, you are more than a file number and professional fee; you are a neighbor whose trust and respect Rosalie will work to earn.

Rosalie Guthrie also believes in giving back to the community. She currently serves as a volunteer Vice-Chairwoman of the Board of Trustees for Family and Children’s Place (FCP). She has devoted six years of pro-bono professional services and helped FCP fundraise. FCP’s most recent initiative is a capital campaign for a new interview center, which is COMING SOON.

Family and Children’s Place is a non-profit organization that provides services and support to families that have experienced the trauma of sexual abuse. The services offered at FCP are designed to Prevent child abuse from happening by educating adults, schools, athletic groups and businesses about how to protect children. They are also able to Stop abuse when it does occur. FCP partners with the Jefferson Metro Police Crimes Against Children Unit to conduct forensic interviews of child victims. These interviews take place once and only once. The child is never re-interviewed because the interview is made and kept safe so that it will be admissible in Court should the matter be litigated. After a child has reported abuse intervention services are provided to the family members as well as the victim. And finally, FCP provides services to Recover from the trauma of abuse. The counseling services offered there are available to the victim and to family members affected by the abuse or the factors in the household that led to abuse.
