Over the years, we have observed the need for healthcare and industry professionals to have qualified and effective legal counsel defending them in their dealings with licensure and disciplinary Boards, third party payors, peer review and credentialing committees, and other healthcare regulators. Our experience in this unique area of law sets us apart. Unfortunately, we have noticed that even though an attorney may be a highly respected civil litigator, criminal litigator or business attorney, that does not necessarily equate to his or her client obtaining a fair, reasoned and satisfactory outcome when the matter involves the regulation of healthcare professionals. That is because many of the attorneys representing these targeted healthcare professionals do not routinely practice in these unique areas of law. As a result, those attorneys often appear unfamiliar with the laws and rules that govern cases against targeted healthcare professionals, and they do not seem to fully understand the issues, policies and precedent that drive the cases against their clients.
