BATYA G. WERNICK, ESQ.
I have been a litigator for over twenty years practicing in New York, California and New Jersey. I began my career working for an agency that provided free legal services to the elderly in Queens, New York. This work was personally very rewarding and even though I later joined the private sector, sometimes representing the “deep pocket,” I always view my client as the “little guy” who requires a zealous advocate.
Whether I am representing an individual or a business, I begin each case with the question, “what’s best for this client?”. Having been on both sides of the courtroom (representing plaintiffs and defendants) I always have a perspective of the other side’s position. This helps me advise and advocate for my client in any situation.
I make it my goal to give each client personal and immediate attention. I carry a limited case load so that I can insure that each case is treated like it’s my only case.
