Overview:
Helen earned her law degree at The George Washington University Law School, consistently ranked one of the best law schools in the United States. While a law student, she clerked for the United States Department of Justice in Washington, D.C. and the Hamilton County Public Defender’s Office in Cincinnati, Ohio. Before beginning her private practice in 2005, she worked at the Montgomery County Prosecutor’s Office in Dayton, Ohio where she was a successful trial attorney responsible for all phases of the prosecution of adults and juveniles charged with felony and misdemeanor crimes. Helen still prosecutes intermittently as a substitute prosecutor for a local municipality. Before joining the Montgomery County Prosecutor’s Office, Helen worked for a mid-size law firm in Cincinnati, Ohio where she zealously represented clients in class action, employment, labor, discriminatory housing, predatory lending, contract and tort lawsuits.

Helen received her undergraduate degree in International Affairs from the University of Cincinnati, where she interned for the Ohio Attorney General’s Office, Senator John Glenn’s Congressional Office and was a member of several honor societies.

Helen is admitted to practice law in Ohio, Kentucky*, the United States Supreme Court, the United States District Court for the Southern District of Ohio, and the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Kentucky.

Helen is a member of the Stanley Greenberg Family Law Forum and the Kentucky Bar Association. In addition, Helen recently completed a year of service as the Chair of the Dayton Bar Association’s Juvenile Law Committee and currently sits as a member of the Montgomery County Juvenile Court’s Dependency Team.

Helen lives in Washington Township, Ohio with her husband, two children and their two dogs and cats. She enjoys reading, biking, swimming, and recently began running in 5K and 10K races. Helen is also actively engaged in raising awareness of dyslexia, and sits as a member of the Board of the Children’s Dyslexia Center in Dayton, Ohio.
