Shaun L. Hayes is a native and resident of Asheboro, North Carolina. After attending the local high school of Southwestern Randolph High School, Shaun graduated from Appalachian State University summa cum laude ranking 22nd in his class of roughly 2000 students. At Appalachian, Shaun obtained a Bachelor’s of Science in Criminal Justice and Minor in Political Science.

Shaun L. Hayes attended law school at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Shaun obtained a law degree (Juris Doctorate) from the University of North Carolina and is licensed to practice law in the State of North Carolina. He is a member of the following honor societies: Gamma Beta Phi, Alpha Chi, Phi Eta Sigma, and Who’s Who Among College Students. Shaun is a member of the North Carolina Bar Association and the North Carolina State Bar. Within the North Carolina Bar Association, he is a Family Law Section member.

Shaun L. Hayes is a member of Mt. View Independent Methodist Church. He is also a member of the Asheboro Masonic Lodge #699. Shaun is an elected official holding the office of Soil and Water District Supervisor for Randolph County; elected for a second term in 2006.

Shaun resides in Asheboro, North Carolina with his wife, Maria Hayes.
