Consulta Juris has been serving Indian individuals and companies for 39 years. Our dedicated lawyers handle minor and complex cases in International Business and other legal aspects of business relations.

The firm has lawyers with post graduate level training in Business Management, apart from outstanding legal qualifications and that enables us to see the business side of legal matters. Easy accessibility to the clients vis-à-vis the partners handling their matters is another notable point. That apart, some of the firm’s partners / associates are qualified from U.S./U.K. etc. Having set up own/associate offices in all the important Indian cities, the firm can justifiably claim to have a truly pan Indian services mix, for the foreign and Indian clients.

The Policy Reforms by the Government of India for integrating Indian Economy with the Global Economy, although started earlier, picked up momentum in 1991, necessitating the emergence of Law Firms rooted in Indian soil, and also suited for International Operations. It was this need that made the founders of the firm think of forming a truly, International Law Firm. Having been too well acquainted with the nuances of International business transactions, and aware of the need for an impersonal name for facilitating interaction with clients of diverse nationalities, they named the firm CONSULTA JURIS, although established in 1974.

The Firm has a vast array of clients including major Blue Chip Companies, Indian as well as International, Public Sector Corporations, Banks, Insurance Companies, Shipping Conglomerates and Private Firms. It is a member of most of the prominent Indian and International professional and commercial associations, chambers and councils, and has associates worldwide through Global Associations of Independent Law Firms

As regards practice in the infrastructure area, the announcement, by the Government, of attractive incentives for investment in infrastructure, has led to a spurt of activities in this area. Several new corporations are being formed for exclusively handling infrastructure development. CONSULTA JURIS is engaged in the formation of some such companies for port development, power generation, private roads and telecom services and the clients have already started making selection of the foreign partners.
