The question
I am collecting ssdi. I am 60 years old. My wife is 61. It is my understanding she can collect spousal bennifits, half of my amount without any other qualifiers for we have been married over 10 years. The SS people say she has to qualify for social security. Do you folks know the answer. She does not have enough time/credits of work to qualify on her own.
