Means of payment discrimination need help badly :(

The question

Okay I'm going to make this a long story short but can give more details when needed. Basically I have been working at the same spot for almost 4 years. At the beginning I was getting paid under the table. Now I get paid a pay check with taxes Medicare etc. they have hired several other people at my job lately who are getting paid under the table in cash daily. Due to slow times my hours are getting cut and I have been getting less and less hours while the people getting paid under the table are getting more hours and not having to lose hours or get sent home early just me and acouple other people who get paid in checks. The owner of the business also for about 4 months didn't give me the Correct amount of hours that I worked and owes me around $700. I was told by him I have to show him my bank statements and the pay stubs in order to get my money. The problem is since switching to getting paid via check I have only received maybe half of my pay stubs so I can't even see the hours I work it's just directly deposited weekly. So this is the basics of the situation. I just want to know what legal advice I should take and if I even have a case thanks and I can go into more detail for people that need it and can help me! Thanks world!

Your employer should still give you an estimated amount of money you are owed. This is more difficult to calculate since you don't have all your check stubs, but it is the employer's duty to give you the stubs you do not have.

Please see an employment attorney for legal advice. I am not a lawyer.
