Question

How do I find an atty?

Asked 16 September 2011 · 5 answers

The question

I need to find an atty that will be my "David" to go up against a "Goliath" (top 500 company) with me. I'm a minister. I was going to just suck my doctor bills and injuries up. I was going to let this go. But, this company's insurance rep started calling me while I was in ER. She demanded I let her record our conversation. Is this even legal? Is it legal for her to call me five times in two days? I have a 24/7 hotline. I'm scared to even answer numbers I don't recognize. I am rarely intimidated. She had me so scared that between her badgering me and the pain from my injury, I blacked out in ER. She's had me in tears twice. This injury was not my fault. It was negligence from an employee not completing their job. I am so mad now, I am ready to throw ministerial license in trash and go for jugular. I have 2 other claims connected to this case. The right atty could make themselves some money. I don't care about the money.I am so scared that a small child could stand under this equipment. If it opened, it could be a catastrophic injury to them. This equipment, that caused my injuries, needs to be recalled. Or OSHA needs to require that a locking device be put on this equipment. Are there any patent atty on here? I have designed a simple and inexpensive back up lock for this equipment.

be kind to strangers. You never know if that stranger is an angel in disguise.

Finding an attorney is as simple as using your local yellow pages, or using sites like this.

If you want a reputable attorney, I would do a quick Google search on whomever you are considering hiring, and I would give their website a good look.

Have you told the adjuster to stop calling you? A lot of times if they think their insured has some real exposure(been really negligent), they will call the injured party and try for a quick settlement or badger them so much they will just want to settle the case to get the insurance company to leave them alone.

If you get an attorney those calls would stop coming to you and the attorney would handle things and you could concentrate on just recovering from your injuries and getting better. Ways to find an attorney are to look through your local phone

book, get on line or ask friends. Then do your research, call the bar association and they can tell you if the attorney has any complaints against them and you can also find things out on line or ask around I'm sure somebody has heard about the lawyer.
