The question
I am a seller on ebay.I had been using a dropshipper, from which I purchase about 22 clarisonics to sell on ebay. They were to do all the work, and I just paid by money order.I just had to relay their address for shipping.I thought this dropshipper was legit, because I have received several positive feedback from the buyers. Now,about 2-3 months later,I have several angry buyers, who now claim they have now received an invoice from the Clarisonic company stating they owe $200 for the product they already paid for, and received.I have contacted my dropshipper several times, and,of course,no response back to me. So now I have all these angry buyers reporting my name to the Clarisonic company, stating that I was the one who sold them this item, which they are now being billed for.I have done refunds for the buyers that have contacted me.I have emailed Clarisonic telling them this same story. Should I continue doing refunds, and be out money?I pretty sure I will not hear from the dropshipper.
Everyone did receive their merchandise, however, the dropshipper obtained the Clarisonics through a free trial, and now my buyers are being billed for something they already paid me for on ebay. Now I cannot get ahold of the dropshipper, and I have angry past buyers who are giving my information to Clarisonic, saying I am the one who did this. When, indeed, it was my dropshipper. My dropshipper used prepaid credit cards to get the free trials to my buyers, and now they are being billed. Am I going to be held liable for all these, since I am the one who sold them on ebay?
