Question

Dissolution of Marriage in Florida

Asked 9 April 2013 · needs an answer

The question

My husband and I haven't had much of a marriage for at least 7 years of the almost 14 we've been married. I have picked up the packet to file a dissolution of marriage with minor children, but the main issue right now is he is withholding all money from me and not paying our bills either. I am an unemployed student with 6 months left till I receive my degree. I realize my situation would best be suited for a lawyer, but I have no access to funds in order to obtain one. I do not qualify for free aid, since he will not leave the home and his income counts against me. What course of action can I take in this situation? I need this to end, for the sake of our children. It's incredibly toxic. Any advice would be appreciated. I don't know where to turn.
