The question
I am a travel agent and issurd a ticket which was paid for by customer with credit card to my company. My company then paid the airline, which subsequently folded and the flight was cancelled.
My customer is now challenging the credit card charge, but I have no way to get a fefund from the airline as it no longer exists.
Does the customer have a right to do this? The credit card company says that since the service was not provided the charge may be cancelled. Surely I have just acted his behalf to purchase the ticket from the airline, and he must suffer the loss?
Thanks for your help.
