If you were fine after coughing the piece up, you cannot sue. Although the experience may have been worrisome, if you did not sustain injuries or require medical treatment, you really have no legal recourse.
The question
While eating a 'Special K Chocolatey Pretzel' cereal bar, i choked on a long and sharp piece of wood that was IN the special k cereal bar. After a few seconds of choking on this piece of wood, i managed to cough it out of my throat. Can i sue?

AustenFan may be right about the legal aspect of your situation, but if I were you I would try to report it to Kelloggs. They should be made aware of this problem and maybe they will even offer to replace the bar. That is, if you would want to eat another one after your unpleasant experience with the wood. Save the wrapper and/or the box it came in as well if you still have it.
