Question

Carry-over Overtime reverted to Reg. time??

Asked 25 April 2013 · needs an answer

The question

I work for SOS Staffing, contracted to BP America, Colorado. They recently "revised" their time sheet system, and I think they are playing a shell game with my hours/pay.

Here is my question: I have 5 Overtime (O.T.) hrs. carried over from last week. I worked 36 reg. hours this week. SOS took my 5 O.T. hours from last week , converted 4 of them into reg. time to make my 36 hrs. this week into 40 hrs. Then they only paid me 1 O.T. hr. How is this legal? I should be paid for all 5 O.T. hours from last week.

I am afraid SOS is using this new "carry over" system as a shell game to get out of paying me my rightful O.T.

How is this legal? What recourse do I have to stop this from happening? Thank you!
