Question

Basketball Injury

Asked 26 April 2010 · 1 answer

The question

Dear Sir, Some jerk deliberately hit me in the knees during a basketball game 4 years ago the effects of which are just now surfacing. Is it possible to file a lawsuit against that person? I'm not sure any of the witnesses would be willing to testify if they can even remember it. Thanks.

I'm not a lawyer, but there is probably a statute of

limitations on something like that. It would probably

depend on what state you live in.

In New Jersey, for instance, it's two years:

record={EB}&softpage=Doc_Frame_PG42

So, I don't think you'd be able to file suit there.

Talk to a lawyer and see if you have have enough

evidence on your side to do something with.
