I researched this topic online and there seems to be varying opinions on this topic. On the fabric, look to see if there is any information about the maker printed on the selvedge on the fabric. If your just selling a few bags around your neighborhood, it really shouldn't be an issue. If you are really worried, you can contact the store or manufacturer and ask them.
The question
I make my own handbags and I am interested in selling them. I construct and sew the bags myself, but I use materials that are store bought such as beads and fabrics from craft stores. Is it legal to sell bags that are made with these materials, or must I get permission from these companies?
