The question

welll first off i am a bartender. i work at a club that is private. not sure if they have different rules. i was at work walking and the carpet behind bar was rolled up due to water underneath of it. its not layed its just thrown down. it is duct taped down in some areas and electrical tape is used too. . i tripped a second time where the 2 carpets meet there was like a pocket in there my foot got stuck and twisted my knee. i went to my dr i dont have insurance so i have to pay myself. he said if i still have issues with it that i would have to see specialist and get mri. i told my work this and the one director told me to go do what i have to do. then hired someone. so the day after i left note that i went to dr . the hole was covered with black electrical tape.. i contacted the health dept and it is illegal to have carpet behind bar. its not properly installed as well. i have 5 directors i listen to. i am still working but have severe pain when i walk.i was talking to another director and he told me if i try to get workmans comp started i would be fired. this was said in front of my customers. so now i feel threatened and in this economy i cant afford to lose my job i make good money.i was hurt at work notified when it happened kept them informed of situation and i will lose my job not really fair considering the way i was hurt is due to there negligence and not up to code floor. i dont believe that is proper way to install carpet and again not supposed to be behind bar. i did take pics and videos of the bar area before and after they changed it due to my doctor visit. please any help im so sick to stomach i cant lose my job but id like to be able to walk up steps easily too
