Question

Equal employment opportunity commision

Asked 7 March 2012 · 1 answer

The question

I was working at an apartment complex that was very unsafe and dangerous. I was assulted by a black resident and threatened with a gun by a diffrent black resident. I found out that the site supervisor which is also black was friends with the residents that had assulted me. I have filed a complaint with EEOC and I have a hearing soon. I was looking for some advice to help me for this mediation session.

What is your employment discrimination claim? What difference does it make that your former supervisor is a friend of the non-employee individuals who assaulted you? Are you claiming the site supervisor directed the residents to assault you because of your race? Did you report the assaults to the police? If so, what did the police do?
