You might want to talk to a traffic defense lawyer who can help you avoid jail time. Many offer free consultations so contacting one can't hurt.
The question
I was pulled over in Ft. Myers, FL for my tints being to dark and was told
my license was suspended for lapsing insurance. I have updated my
insurance and reinstated my license I just want to know what I can do to
avoid the jail time on my case.

Yes, I agree. Contacting a lawyer is the best thing that you should do to help you to avoid jail time.

I don't think there will be any harsh punishment just go and consult with the traffic authorities they might give you a choice for easy escape and if that does not work go to an lawyer.

I dont think you'd have to serve jail time for this. I'm sure you can get out of this situation. But get a lawyer ofcourse.
