Since 2012, the SEC has issued more than $1.3 billion in awards to whistleblowers, which includes awards to our clients totaling millions of dollars. Experienced and effective SEC whistleblower lawyers can provide critical guidance to whistleblowers throughout this process to protect their identities and increase the likelihood that they maximize their awards.

In matters in which we obtained SEC whistleblower awards for our clients, the public orders announcing the awards note the “significant assistance” provided to SEC staff that enabled the SEC to complete investigations more quickly.

Zuckerman Law, based in Washington DC, represents employees nationwide who step forward to blow the whistle on fraud. Reporting fraud is challenging and intimidating. The legal team at Zuckerman Law has a deep understanding of the laws that can protect and reward those who report corporate misconduct.

We represent employees who have witnessed commodities and securities fraud (Dodd-Frank), corporate fraud (Sarbanes-Oxley), underpayment of taxes, unethical activity by government contractors, and more. And with a licensed CPA on staff, our firm has the skill and experience to fully investigate complex financial schemes.
Zuckerman’s broad experience includes serving as Senior Legal Advisor to the Special Counsel at the U.S. Office of Special Counsel, the federal agency charged with protecting whistleblowers in the federal government. In 2012, the Secretary of Labor appointed Zuckerman to serve on the DOL’s Whistleblower Protection Advisory Committee to make recommendations to improve OSHA’s enforcement of federal whistleblower protection laws.

In matters in which Zuckerman Law obtained SEC whistleblower awards for its clients, the public orders announcing the awards note the “significant assistance” provided to SEC staff that enabled the SEC to conserve resources and act promptly. Whistleblower tips filed by Zuckerman Law have enabled the SEC to halt fraudulent investment schemes worth more than $1 billion.

Zuckerman chairs a Taxpayers Against Fraud standing committee focused on strengthening the SEC and CFTC whistleblower programs and performs significant pro bono work to assist the legislative and regulatory initiatives of a coalition of whistleblower advocacy organizations.

During his service at the OSC, Zuckerman oversaw several high-profile investigations, including a whistleblower retaliation case resulting in the removal of an Inspector General. He played an active role in the agency’s implementation of the Whistleblower Protection Enhancement Act, expanded the agency’s outreach program, and drafted amicus curiae briefs on key issues concerning federal employee whistleblower rights and protections.
