Who We Are?

HASAN & ASSOCIATES is one of the leading law firms in Bangladesh, established in 1997. It is distinguished by its experience and long standing reputation in the practice of law in a variety of areas. It is known for its creativity and success in providing legal support to clients for achieving their objectives by combining international standards and local expertise. It has also achieved distinction in the realm of legal practice by its firm principles which are shared amongst all its Barristers, Advocates and Para-Legal.

HASAN & ASSOCIATES consists of 2 principal advisors (former judges of the Hon’ble High Court Division of the Supreme Court) and 33 highly experienced and capable lawyers along with 26 para-legal assistants who have survived a very strict selection process and bring an outstanding record of academic and professional achievement in a wide variety of practice areas.

Justice Mohammad Gholam Rabbani

(Former Judge of the Appellate Division of the Supreme Court of Bangladesh) Justice Mohammad Gholam Rabbani began his career as a lawyer in 1960 at the District Bar. He enrolled himself as an advocate of the erstwhile High Court of East Pakistan in 1965 and as an advocate of the Supreme Court of Pakistan in 1971. He was admitted as a senior advocate of the Appellate Division of the Supreme Court of Bangladesh in 1986.

He was made a Judge of the High Court Division and Appellate Division respectively in 1992 and 2001. Justice Rabbani is a life member of Asiatic Society of Bangladesh and Bangla Academy. In his several judgements he asserted the Judges’ right to interpret anew Islamic laws. He is the author of the book ‘Journey within Islam’ published by University Press Limited, Dhaka.

Habibul Islam Bhuiyan

began his career as a lawyer in 1965 at the District Bar. He enrolled himself as an advocate of the erstwhile High Court of East Pakistan in 1970 and as an advocate of the Supreme Court of Pakistan in 1973. He was also admitted as a senior advocate of the Appellate Division of the Supreme Court of Bangladesh.

He was elevated to the Hon’ble High Court Division as a Judge in 1988 and appointed as a Law Minister of Peoples Republic of Bangladesh in 1989. He was elected as a President of Supreme Court Bar Association in 1998. Lastly he served as a High Commission to the Bangladesh Embassy in Brunei.
