What we Do
Commercial Property
Real estate is at the core of our business. Leslie Wolfson understand the property industry inside-out and our wide-ranging practice extends from high-value investment sales and purchases (including shopping centres and multi-let industrial estates) to secured lending transactions representing High Street and secondary banking institutions. We act for both landlords and tenants in a variety of leasing transactions including acquiring units in shopping centres and retail parks for major retailers, as well as advising on development aspects, again in both landlord and tenant-related situations.
Based in Glasgow, we also have a consulting address in London, and the firm has extensive experience in cross-border, high-value transactions. Corporate
Leslie Wolfson has extensive experience in dealing with a variety of corporate issues, including company formations and the acquisition and disposal of companies and businesses. As well as highly experienced corporate lawyers, our clients can benefit from the expertise of our Partnership Secretary who is a chartered accountant with a specialisation in tax planning.
We provide company secretarial services and have a record of handling asset purchase and sales, shareholders agreements, partnerships and joint venture agreements.
We also advise on the creation of franchises and their operation and bring a commercial perspective to all types of general management and business matters.
Litigation
Our Litigation department deals with a wide range of disputes including general commercial disputes and property related disputes, as well as arbitrations and issues relating to family law, such as divorce and contract.
Nobody likes disputes, and prevention is better than cure. However when disputes arise, we can ensure our clients are in the best hands.
Leslie Wolfson’s litigation team has a great deal of experience in resolving a diverse range of property-related disputes. We act for a number of landlord clients and are on hand to provide workable solutions to problems whenever they may arise.
We assist them in ensuring that tenants comply with the financial and reinstatement obligations set out in their leases. We also offer other forms of dispute resolution and are able to outline all of the options open to our clients in resolving a problem whether that be by negotiation, mediation, arbitration or litigation and to advise which is the most appropriate course of action.
Private Client
Our Private Client department provides a range of services including purchases, sales, leases and re-mortgages, the preparation of Wills and Trusts, including Inheritance Tax planning and the administration of estates, advising on personal insolvencies and matrimonial advice.
We aim to deliver a high quality, personal service to our clients, and our legal advisors (who are all solicitors) have a wealth of experience in their chosen fields.
