Ibrachy & Dermarkar were established by Charles Chalom in 1932 as Maitre Charles Chalom. Mr. Chalom was the head of the Bar Association of the mixed courts. In 1952, Messrs Hassan & Hussein El Ibrachy and Said Dermarkar entered into partnership with Mr. Chalom creating Chalom, Ibrachy & Dermarkar. Upon Mr. Chalom’s departure in 1956, the name was changed to Ibrachy & Dermarkar (I&D). Bahieldin Elibrachy, the firm’s current senior partner, took the important step of transforming the firm from a family-run practice into a professional organisation by registering it as a civil company and broadening the partnership base. Today, I&D represents leading international and domestic investors in the Egyptian market across industries. I&D seeks to grow continuously while maintaining a uniform level of excellence in the service that it provides.
