Prior to Ahlers & Cooney, many of our attorneys held judicial clerkships in various Iowa and Federal trial and appellate courts, bringing a keen understanding of the court system to the Firm. Several of our attorneys have executive and legislative experience. Attorneys in the Firm hold law degrees from the Cornell, Creighton, Drake, Georgetown, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Michigan, Valparaiso and Washburn law schools.

Professionally, our firm’s attorneys believe it is very important to be involved and provide leadership in a diversity of organizations related to the legal profession and its different practice areas. Attorneys serve in numerous positions in local, state and national associations. Many have served as instructors for continuing legal education and other professional education programs and as adjunct professors at the university level. Firm members have published articles and other legal reference material in both state and national publications, and have presented at hundreds of seminars and conferences on a variety of legal topics.
